Hey there! Just got some fresh updates from Chi-Town Fire Photos about the Chicago Fire Department's Office of Fire Investigation (OFI). As it turns out, they've set up their headquarters in the old Engine 16 firehouse located at 53 E Pershing Rd. Apparently, they’ve taken over the South EMS Division side of the building. Word on the street is that the South Side EMS Division has moved to Engine 84’s station.
Anyway, here’s what they’re running these days:
- **OFI 4-6-6**: A 2015 Ford Explorer with the ID FDB604.
- **OFI 4-6-7**: A 2018 Ford E350 van identified as FDB622.
- **OFI 4-6-8**: Another 2015 Ford Explorer marked as FDB606.
- **OFI 4-6-9**: A 2018 Ford E350 van labeled FDB625.
I managed to snap some quick photos while I was checking things out. You can see the vehicles below. The images really give you a good look at how they’ve been kitted out for investigations. Pretty cool stuff if you ask me!
