Just got some fresh updates on the Chicago Fire Department's Office of Fire Investigation (OFI) setup. It seems they've made some changes to their locations and fleet. As of now, the OFI headquarters is stationed out of Engine 16's firehouse at 53 E Pershing Rd. Interestingly enough, they’ve taken over the South EMS Division side of the facility. From what I understand, the South Side EMS Division has been relocated to Engine 84’s station.
In terms of their vehicles, here’s the latest lineup:
- **OFI 4-6-6**: A 2015 Ford Explorer with the tag FDB604.
- **OFI 4-6-7**: A 2018 Ford E350 van marked as FDB622.
- **OFI 4-6-8**: Another 2015 Ford Explorer identified as FDB606.
- **OFI 4-6-9**: A more recent 2018 Ford E350 van labeled FDB625.
