Upon arrival, thick smoke was visible coming from the front door and roof vent, prompting the alarm to be upgraded to a working fire. Additional fire companies from Long Grove, Lincolnshire-Riverwoods, and Arlington Heights were called in for mutual aid, while more units were stationed at local Buffalo Grove fire stations to support the response.
The fire appeared to be originating from a single room and had begun spreading into the hallway when firefighters initiated an interior attack. Crews worked quickly to contain the blaze and prevent further structural damage. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation, and no injuries have been reported so far.
