Firefighters from Buffalo Grove were dispatched to a residential property on Middleton Court on Tuesday afternoon. Upon arrival, they observed heavy smoke coming from the front door and roof vents, prompting the alarm to be upgraded to a working fire. This led to the deployment of mutual aid units from Long Grove, Lincolnshire-Riverwoods, and Arlington Heights, while additional crews were also stationed at Buffalo Grove fire stations.
The fire appeared to have started in a room and was quickly spreading into the hallway when firefighters initiated an interior attack. Crews worked swiftly to contain the flames and prevent further damage.

Among the units seen were Engine 1, Tower Ladder 2, and a high-reach apparatus, highlighting the coordinated effort to tackle the blaze.
No injuries have been reported at this time, and the cause of the fire is under investigation. Residents in the area were advised to remain cautious as crews continue their efforts to fully extinguish the fire and secure the structure.
