It is reported that in 2011, the total export value of auto parts enterprises in Taishan City was US$257 million, accounting for 20.59% of the city’s total exports. In the first three quarters of this year, the total export value of auto parts enterprises in the city reached 232 million U.S. dollars, a year-on-year increase of 20.21%, accounting for 24.24% of the city's total exports. It is estimated that the total export value of the auto parts industry in the city will reach 310 million U.S. dollars this year, an increase of 20.62% year-on-year.
Annual industrial output value growth rate maintained above 15%
It is understood that in recent years, Taishan only seized the opportunity of the rapid development of the auto industry and the transfer of industrial ladders, based on the original industrial foundation, vigorously carried out industrial investment promotion, and continuously developed and expanded the auto parts industry scale and achieved good results. According to incomplete statistics, so far, the city has a total of 29 auto parts enterprises, of which 27 have been put into operation, 14 above the scale, the total investment of over 400 million US dollars, the annual growth rate of industrial output value to maintain more than 15%. Initially formed is an automotive parts and components cluster that is based on Fuhua Heavy Industry, Fucheng Aluminum, international transportation equipment, Weifu Electrical, station traffic equipment, Fufei purification muffler, emerging precision engineering and other enterprises.
The auto parts industry in Taishan also showed a good development trend. In the past year or so, there have been six new auto parts companies that have invested in and expanded in Taishan, involving a total investment of 2.439 billion yuan. Among them, there are 3 enterprises that have increased their capital and expanded production, involving a total investment of 78.75 million yuan, and 3 companies have been newly introduced, involving a total contracted investment of 2.36 billion yuan. So far, manufacturers of auto parts in Changchun, Qingdao, Zhongshan, and Dongguan have come to our city to negotiate and negotiate and follow up on three projects, involving a total investment of more than 2 billion yuan.
Ensure key projects and promote industrial agglomeration
In addition, in order to stabilize the growth of foreign trade exports, Taishan accelerated the construction of export bases and focused on building export bases for auto parts to attract auto parts companies to settle in Taishan. It is reported that the main leaders of the Bureau of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation also participated in the Jiangmen City party and government economic mission, went to Qingdao, Changchun to inspect the auto parts industry, and mastered a number of clues on investment projects.
According to the introduction of the Bureau of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation, the next step will be to focus on the introduction of the Hongte Precision Technology Project and the launch of the Panax New Energy Project into production to ensure that these already settled projects are launched as soon as possible. It is reported that Hongte Precision Investment Co., Ltd. has invested RMB 800 million and Panax New Energy has invested RMB 1.5 billion, both of which are the two major automotive component projects in Taishan this year. The Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation Bureau hopes to promote economic development with new increments and rely on the above projects to attract upstream and downstream projects to promote the development of industrial agglomeration.
