ChargeLab successfully migrates Enel X Way EV chargers

Last week, **ChargeLab announced** an initiative to help commercial Enel X Way device owners transition their EV charging stations to our OCPP-compliant backend. Today, we’re excited to share that dozens of Enel X Way chargers have successfully been migrated to our network. As the EV charging software landscape continues to evolve, we want to provide clarity and transparency about this process. For a detailed look at one of the recently migrated sites, watch the video below featuring ChargeLab CEO Zak Lefevre:
--- ### Technical Challenges It's important to note that Enel X Way commercial EV chargers are not straightforward OCPP devices. They require a complex reconfiguration before they can be integrated into a third-party charging station management system (CSMS). At this time, ChargeLab is one of the few providers capable of handling these migrations efficiently and within the October 11 deadline. If you're working with another OCPP provider, make sure they have recent experience with Enel X Way charger migrations and fully understand the technical challenges involved. --- ### ChargeLab’s Solution Thanks to the hard work of our engineering team, we’ve developed a reliable and efficient method to migrate Enel X Way chargers in record time. The process involves both backend adjustments from our side and on-site configuration steps that can be completed by a technician using a laptop or smartphone. Here are some photos from a condo building in Toronto during and after the migration:

After migration, site hosts will log into the **ChargeLab dashboard** instead of the legacy Enel X Way portal. From there, you can manage pricing rules, set access controls, monitor performance, generate reports, and even receive AI-powered alerts for potential issues.

For EV drivers, the transition means moving from the Enel X Way app to the **ChargeLab web app**, which supports iOS, Android, and mobile browsers. We also offer white-label options and continue to lead in web-based charging solutions.

--- ### Network Migration Progress As of Monday, October 7, ChargeLab is actively migrating **612 Level 2 and DC fast chargers** from Enel X Way’s system. We expect to onboard thousands more this week. Our teams are working around the clock to support the migration, and we still have capacity to take on additional chargers. If you're interested in making the switch, please reach out to us directly. --- ### Contact For more information or to get started, contact us at: **1 (800) 636-0986 ext. 210**
