Wheeling firefighters were called to 298 Tilbury Lane in Whippletree Village just before 3 AM on Monday, April 18, 2016. Upon arrival, units reported a fire in a mobile home and upgraded the call to a working fire (Code 4). The flames were quickly brought under control within 10 minutes, and crews remained on scene for an additional hour conducting overhaul. Mutual aid units from Buffalo Grove, Arlington Heights, and Northbrook also responded to assist. I arrived at the scene just after the 10-minute mark.
