Solutia recently announced that it has officially launched its new Vistasolar ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer (EVA) packaging film production center in China. Vistasolar EVA packaging film for solar modules will be officially put into commercial production at the center.
It is understood that as the famous EVA packaging film manufacturer, Solutia is the first multinational company to establish an EVA packaging film production center in China. At present, China's solar module output accounts for more than half of the global module installations. The new production center will further consolidate Solutia’s position in the supply of solar cell packaging films for the Chinese PV market and help Chinese module manufacturers reduce their production costs.
It is reported that Solutia is still the only company in the world that can provide EVA, PVB, and thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) photovoltaic module packaging films and technical solutions.
