The "Tenth Five-Year" National Major Technical Equipment Development Project—titled "Development of 600,000 kW Supercritical Thermal Power Generator Set Equipment"—successfully passed its acceptance test in Beijing. This significant project was a key national initiative organized by the National Development and Reform Commission, State Grid Corporation, and the China Machinery Industry Federation. As per the guidelines outlined in the Notice from the General Office of the National Development and Reform Commission regarding the summary and acceptance of major technical equipment projects under the Tenth Five-Year Plan, the project teams were required to compile detailed reports on their progress and submit them for review.
The project participants prepared a comprehensive development report and a self-acceptance report, which served as the foundation for the final evaluation. Following an extensive assessment of all project components by the State Grid Corporation and the China Machinery Industry Federation, an official acceptance meeting was held in Beijing on June 14, 2006. The event brought together experts from the Chinese Academy of Engineering, China Power Investment Group, China Huadian, China Huaneng, and representatives from various other participating organizations.
After a thorough and detailed review, the expert panel unanimously confirmed that the objectives and tasks set forth in the project contract had been successfully achieved through the collaborative efforts of all involved units. This milestone marked a major achievement in China's push toward advanced power generation technology, demonstrating the country's growing capability in developing large-scale, high-efficiency thermal power systems. The successful completion of this project not only met the technical requirements but also laid a solid foundation for future advancements in the energy sector.
