Beijing, November 9 — According to the latest data released by the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers, the cumulative production and sales of automobiles in China reached over 7 million units in the first ten months of this year, with both figures rising by more than 20% compared to the same period last year. This marks a strong performance in the domestic auto market, reflecting sustained consumer demand and robust manufacturing activity.
From January to October, the total production of domestically-made vehicles reached 7.225 million units, while sales totaled 7.15 million units, representing increases of 22.6% and 24.02%, respectively, compared to the previous year. Passenger car production and sales stood at 5.1423 million and 5.0794 million units, up 21.7% and 23.57%. Commercial vehicle production and sales were 2.0802 million and 2.2079 million units, an increase of 24.88% and 25.14% year-on-year.
Although automobile production and sales declined slightly from the previous month in October, they still showed strong year-on-year growth. In October alone, 7.131 million vehicles were produced, a 5.8% drop from September, but a 21.11% increase compared to the same month last year. Sales for the month reached 692,300 units, down 10.41% from the prior month, yet up 20.12% year-on-year.
In terms of sales volume, the top ten automakers in China were SAIC, FAW, Dongfeng, Changan, BAIC, GAC, Chery, Brilliance, Hafei, and Geely. Together, these companies sold 5.9604 million vehicles, accounting for 83% of the total auto sales. For passenger cars, the leading brands included SAIC-GM-Wuling, FAW-Volkswagen, Shanghai GM, Shanghai Volkswagen, Chery, Changan, Guangzhou Honda, Dongfeng Nissan, FAW Toyota, and Beijing Hyundai, which together sold 2.9842 million units, making up 58% of the total passenger car market. In the commercial vehicle segment, Beiqi Foton, Dongfeng, FAW, Jianghuai, Jinbei Shares, CNHTC, Changan Co., Jiangling, Nanqi, and Shaanxi Auto topped the rankings, selling 1.397 million units, or 67% of the total commercial vehicle sales.
These figures highlight the continued momentum in China's automotive industry, driven by both domestic consumption and expanding production capabilities. As the country moves forward, the sector is expected to maintain its growth trajectory, supported by government policies and evolving consumer preferences.
H-shaped steel is an economical cross-section high-efficiency section with more optimized cross-sectional area distribution and a more reasonable strength-to-weight ratio. It is named because its cross-section is the same as the English letter "H". Since all parts of the H-shaped steel are arranged at right angles, the H-shaped steel has the advantages of strong bending resistance in all directions, simple construction, cost saving and light structural weight, and has been widely used.
H-shaped steel is a widely used profile in steel structure buildings today, and it has many differences compared with I-shaped steel. The first is the flange, and second, the inner surface of the flange has no inclination, and the upper and lower surfaces are parallel. The cross-sectional properties of H-beams are significantly better than traditional I-beams, channel steels and angle steels.
The two outer and inner sides of the H-shaped steel have no slope and are straight. This makes the welding and splicing of H-beams easier than I-beams, and has better mechanical properties per unit weight, which can save a lot of materials and construction time. The section of the I-Beam is well subjected to vertical pressure and resistant to tension, but the section size cannot resist torsion because the wing plate is too narrow. H steel is the opposite, both have their own advantages and disadvantages.
