High Si Mn alloy is a semi-finished product, the production of manganese metal silicon thermal material. The high silicon manganese silicon alloy smelting is carried out in a submerged arc furnace. Compared with the commercial manganese silicon alloy, it has high silicon content, low content of impurities such as iron , carbon and phosphorus , and the electrode is a graphite electrode or carbon which does not require an electrode shell. The principle of high silicon manganese silicon alloy smelting is the same as that of manganese silicon alloy. From the thermodynamic conditions generated by the manganese-silicon alloy, it is known that the higher the silicon content, the higher the reduction reaction temperature required, so the production of high-silicon-manganese-silicon alloy should maintain a higher furnace temperature than the production of ordinary manganese-silicon alloy. In order to promote the reduction of silicon and manganese under the conditions of the required temperature, there should be a large reaction zone and slag with good chemical and physical properties. These can be regarded as the kinetics required for the smelting of high silicon manganese silicon alloy. condition. It can be seen that the standard raw materials, high furnace temperature, slag with good chemical and physical properties, and large reaction area are necessary conditions for ensuring the smoothness of the high silicon manganese silicon alloy smelting furnace.
The operational points are as follows:
(1) Mixing ratio adjustment and furnace condition treatment In the case where the raw materials and equipment conditions are suitable, mastering the ratio of ingredients is the key to keeping the furnace condition normal. Otherwise, the furnace condition is difficult to go, and the product quality is not guaranteed. In the production, due to changes in raw material composition, moisture content and particle size, the key to adjusting the ratio of ingredients is to master the amount of coke , the reasonable combination of raw material size and the entry of concentrate into the furnace. The particle size and physicochemical properties of the raw materials must meet the requirements of Table 4-65. (2) Control of slag composition, whether high-silicon alloy can be refined, and whether the technical and economic indicators are good, mainly depends on whether the slag can be discharged smoothly. The alkalinity of slag should be controlled at n(CaO+MgO)/nSiO 2 =0.6~0.8. The actual slag composition fluctuations are as follows:
SiO 2 40%~50%, CaO20%~25%, Al 2 O 3 24%~28%, MgO±5%
(3) Feeding and tapping operation, the selection of electric furnace parameters is basically the same as that of ordinary manganese-silicon alloy, and the smelting operation mode is basically the same as that of ordinary manganese-silicon alloy. The 1800kVA electric furnace is generally discharged once every 6~8h. In order to prevent iron addition when it is baked, it is better not to use irons to burn out the iron mouth. Under normal circumstances, the tap hole is easier to pierce with iron rods, but it is necessary to prevent the iron rod from melting and increasing iron. After the furnace is released, the alloy is sedated in a lining iron bag for about 15 minutes and then cast.
