From 2005 to 2010, the total assets of the central enterprises rose from 10.5 trillion yuan to 24.3 trillion yuan, an average annual increase of 18.2%; operating income increased from 6.79 trillion yuan to 16.7 trillion yuan, an average annual growth of 19.7%; and net profit was realized. From 464.27 billion yuan to 848.98 billion yuan, an average annual increase of 12.8%; paid taxes increased from 577.99 billion yuan to 1.3 trillion yuan, an average annual growth of 17.6%.

Regarding the implementation of social responsibility by central SOEs, Shao Ning stated that SASAC has always attached great importance to the issue of social responsibility of central SOEs and issued documents and made specific requirements for central SOEs.
