Access control system installation, maintenance and troubleshooting methods

This article includes precautions before the installation of the access control system, common faults and maintenance methods of the access control system, and a summary of the ten common faults of the access control system lock. Let's take a look at it:
01 power supply:
Ensure that the power is sufficient, try to use a linear power supply, and the door lock and controller should be powered separately. Install the power supply as close as possible to the consumer to avoid interference and transmission loss.
02 wiring:
Divided into power lines, communication lines, signal lines, pay attention to strong, weak electricity separate wiring, the two tubes are required to be separated by more than 20cm.
Power cord: The wire diameter is thick enough to use multiple strands of wire.
Signal line and communication line: shielded five types of twisted pair. The 485 bus must use a pair of twisted pair of wire connections. It is recommended to use a 4*0.5 four-core shielded cable when purchasing the wire.
Note the following:
1. The shielded wire should never be used as a connecting wire for 0V voltage (power ground).
2, each shield circuit can only have one ground
3. When the shielded loop cannot be grounded, connect the shielded cable to another shielded loop of the network.
4. The signal ground of each module must be connected together.
5. If there is a breakpoint in the middle of the line, the breakpoint should be soldered with a soldering iron and insulated.
6. Do not put the network cable and AC power together.
7. If the network connection exceeds 1000 meters, add a repeater, and the repeater can be extended by 1000 meters.
03 Pay attention to the selection of the installation location to prevent electromagnetic interference.
1. Card reader: Do not install on metal objects. The distance between the two card readers should not be less than 30 cm. Try to supply power through the controller. If the card reader is powered externally, use a linear regulated power supply (transformer) for the reader's power supply and do not connect the negative DC terminal to the ac ground.
2, network adapter: the connection between the controller and the controller is hand-in-hand.
3. Controller: Controller without isolation, it is recommended to use the same power supply.
4. Lock: When installing the magnetic lock, the lock body and the relay iron plate must be tightly combined, otherwise there will be insufficient suction. Electric plug lock, if you need to open the jack when installing the electric plug lock, pay attention to the aperture must be large enough, the depth must be deep enough to allow the lock tongue to be fully inserted. The locking tongue cannot be fully inserted. After the door is locked, there will be a beating of the locking tongue or the working current is always large, and the locking body is hot.
Common faults and maintenance methods for access control systems
01 valid card can not open the door
1. Check if the electric lock is normal. Check the power supply or replace the electric lock.
2. Whether the lock tongue and the lock buckle are mechanically stuck to repair mechanical failure or replace parts
3. Check the indicator light on the control panel, whether the communication between the control board and the module is normal.
4. Check if the communication between the card reader and the module is normal.
5. Is the information day closed command set by software to adjust the door opening time?
6. Does the operator initialize the access control system or other commands are re-authorized by software?
02 access control communication is not available
1. Check if the serial port is set incorrectly (determine the serial port used)
2. Check the access control communication bus for short circuit or open circuit (excluding short circuit and open circuit of communication line)
3. Check RS485 communication card communication chip 75184 is damaged (replace communication chip 75148)
4.RS485 communication card is damaged (replace RS485 communication card)
5. Check if the network cable head is ready, check whether the network cable is open, and ping the address of the access controller.
03 access control records can not be extracted
Clear the access controller and reload the time
04 card reader LED indicator is always green, do not read the card, the door lock is always open, the communication is normal
1. The operator sets the access controller status to normally open, or causes the controller to be in the normally open state for other reasons;
2. Controller failure. Solution: Set the status of the door lock controller to normal. If the fault persists, replace the controller.
05 IC card cannot read the card
1. The IC card has been set for the valid period of reading the card when the IC card is authorized (can be used for full-day card reading)
2. The access controller is abnormally hot (replace the access control board)
3. Access control read/write antenna (adjust the trimmer capacitor to enhance the card reading distance)
06 Communication between the computer and the controller is unstable
possible reason:
1. Use a signal line that does not meet the requirements or a poor quality signal line;
2. The signal line is not laid out, such as the signal line and the power line are worn in the same tube;

1Q: Why is the sound great when the magnetic lock is closed?
A: a. Check if there is a rubber gasket.
b. Check the end of the iron plate, if the screw is too loose.
c. Check if the distance between the magnetic lock body and the suction plate is appropriate.
2Q: Why does the iron plate not suck after using the magnetic lock for a period of time?
Answer: a. Check if the power supply “power and voltage” 1A/12V/24V output is reduced.
b. Check the surface of the magnet for foreign matter (such as dust, rust, foreign matter, etc.).
3Q: Why do magnetic lock iron plates often have to be adjusted?
Answer: a. Check if the iron plate is loaded with pins.
b. Check if the iron plate has a rubber pad.
c. It is recommended that the customer screw the screw on the fixative.
4Q: After the iron plate is sucked, I feel a slight vibration, and the suction is insufficient?
Answer: a. Check whether the main surface of the magnetic lock and the iron plate are completely attracted and free of foreign matter, or try to loosen the iron plate.
b. Check the voltage and current is sufficient.
5Q: Why does the magnetic lock have a delay, but it does not work?
Answer: a. The magnetic lock “delay adjustment” starts timing after power-on, and does not start timing after closing the door.
b. The delay of the magnetic lock is 0, 3, 6, and 9 seconds. See if the setting is set to 9 seconds.
6Q: Why is the magnetic lock energized, but the red LED light is slightly bright and can't be sucked?
A: Check if the voltage is enough to supply the electromagnetic lock (should be 1A current / 12V voltage)
7Q: Why is the magnetic lock energized and sucked up but the red LED light is always on, but not green?
A: It may be that the sensing element of the magnetic lock is damaged and needs to be replaced.
8Q: Why use a double-door magnetic lock, which can't be used for a while?
Answer: The magnetic lock of the double door consumes a large amount of power. Check whether the power supply is sufficient (whether it is enough for the current and voltage of the double-door electromagnetic lock, or whether there is line loss).
9Q: Why does the magnetic lock have no action with the controller?
A: Check that the controller "output" contacts are correct.
10 Q: How to distinguish the high end and low end of the magnetic lock, good or bad?
A: The simple and effective way is to choose the brand lock.
