“We are working tirelessly to provide the tools and services that enable our customers to radically improve how buildings and infrastructure are designed and built, and our customers are clearly responding.”

SAN FRANCISCO – (BUSINESS WIRE) – In the fiscal quarter ending January 31, Autodesk, Inc. (NASDAQ: ADSK) closed a significant number of new and expanded deals across the architecture, engineering, construction, and infrastructure sectors. As the adoption of Building Information Modeling (BIM) continues to grow globally, more firms in the construction and infrastructure industries are turning to Autodesk’s software solutions to streamline their workflows.

During the fourth quarter, Autodesk saw strong performance in its Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) product suites, with revenue increasing by 32% year-over-year. The company recorded numerous multi-million-dollar transactions, including its largest deal to date. Among the standout products was BIM 360, which offers cloud-based and mobile solutions for construction management and on-site execution. This platform has quickly become one of Autodesk’s fastest-growing offerings.

Amar Hanspal, Senior Vice President of Autodesk’s Information Modeling and Platform Group, said, “As architecture firms, contractors, and engineering companies continue to recognize the full potential of BIM, they are achieving remarkable gains in productivity. By reducing errors, rework, and costs, BIM is transforming the design and construction process. Our cloud and mobile services are especially popular because they allow users to access BIM capabilities anywhere, at any time—whether from the office or the jobsite.”

New and expanded partnerships include major players such as AECOM, Black & Veatch, China Communications Construction Company (CCCC), Fluor, HDR Engineering, Qatar Rail, and PCL Construction. These agreements highlight the growing trust in Autodesk’s BIM solutions across the industry.

Turner Construction Company, one of North America’s largest construction firms, has seen substantial benefits from using Autodesk’s BIM tools. For example, on the Oakland International Airport renovation project, the company used BIM 360 Glue to enhance collaboration and efficiency. Lincoln Wood, from Turner Construction, noted, “BIM 360 Glue isn’t just about visualization—it supports information sharing and has improved our workflow. The mobile app is opening up new possibilities for communication between the office and the field. Contractors can now leverage this technology in powerful ways.”

In January, the European Union issued a directive urging all 28 member states to adopt BIM for public works projects. This follows similar mandates in countries like Australia, Brazil, China, Finland, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan, South Korea, Singapore, the United Kingdom, and the United States.

Interestingly, contractors have now become the fastest-growing group adopting BIM. According to the 2014 McGraw Hill Construction Smart Market Report, contractors expect BIM to account for an average of 50% of their work over the next two years.

Hanspal added, “There’s a lot of momentum behind BIM worldwide, and Autodesk is leading the charge in this transformation. We’re helping our customers unlock the full potential of BIM to collaborate, simulate, visualize, and optimize their projects. As we continue to develop new tools and services, it’s clear that our customers are embracing these innovations and seeing real results.”
