Five major highlights of China's dyeing industry in 2011

2011 is a crucial year for China's dye industry to expand domestic demand, maintain growth, adjust structure, and “go global”. In the past year, the dye industry has achieved the expected steady growth and achieved a good start in the “12th Five-Year Plan”. Looking at the dye industry's running track over the past year, we can summarize five highlights.

First, the industry's production and operation entered a period of low-speed and steady development. According to statistics from China National Dyestuff Industry Association, from January to November 2011, the economic performance of China's dyestuff industry generally stabilized, and the major economic indicators such as output, sales revenue, and foreign exchange earned through exports of the entire industry kept growing year-on-year. The output of major dyes and organic pigment manufacturers increased slightly year-on-year. The main dye producing areas in Zhejiang, Jiangsu, Shandong, and Shanghai are growing faster than the national average. At the same time, the amount of dye exports and imports have decreased over the previous year. It is predicted that in 2012, the growth rate of China's dyestuffs import and export will decline, and the supporting role of domestic demand for the industry will become more apparent.

The second is that the Shanghai International Dyestuff Exhibition and the India International Dyestuff Exhibition sponsored by the China Dyestuff Industry Association have accelerated the “going out” pace of the dye industry. In April 2011, the 11th China International Dyestuff Industry and Organic Pigments and Textile Chemicals Exhibition was held in Shanghai. 500 Chinese and foreign enterprises from 14 countries and regions participated in the exhibition. Trade purchasing delegations from many countries visited the exhibition to discuss. In December, India International Dyestuffs Exhibition was held in Ahmed, Gujarat, India. It was highly concerned by the international dyeing paint industry. More than 120 companies from all over the world participated in the exhibition and Pakistan, Bangladesh and other countries visited the country. exhibition. The exhibition has become another international exchange platform for dyeing pigments created by China Dyeing Association. During the exhibition, Chinese companies also visited the sewage treatment plants of Indian dye factories, printing and dyeing plants, and chemical parks to further understand the development of India's dye and printing and dyeing industries.

Third, the industry’s clean production work has achieved results. In 2010, 5 production methods such as dye membrane filtration, pure slurry drying, clean production and preparation technologies, dye production intermediates for hydrogenation and reduction, clean production and preparation techniques, organic solvent replacement aqueous media clean production and preparation technology, and low concentration acid salt-containing wastewater recycling technology The clean production technology was included in the "Clean Production Technology Demonstration and Application Promotion Catalog (First Batch)" of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. Companies such as Hangzhou Jihua Group and Shanxi Qingshan Chemical Co., Ltd. actively adopted these technologies. In 2011, they received a special fund for clean production from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and the Ministry of Finance of nearly 20 million yuan, which played a leading role in promoting clean production demonstration technologies in the industry.

In order to do a good job in the industry's clean production in 2012, the China Dyeing Association held a meeting in Beijing in December 2011 on clean production demonstration technologies for the dye industry. Zhejiang Longsheng, Zhejiang Lanzhou, Hangzhou Jihua, Jiangsu Yabang and other key enterprises attended the meeting and applied for clean production technology.

The fourth is to formulate the “Integrated Catalogue of Environmental Economic Policy Support for the Dye Industry” in 2011 to promote industrial restructuring. In this work, the Dyeing Association has worked continuously with the Ministry of Environmental Protection for many years, which has promoted the elimination of backward products and promoted technological progress in the dye industry. The "List" can fully reflect the development trend of the industry and is of great significance to the future development of the planning industry.

Fifth, actively respond to international trade barriers and carry out formal registration of chemicals in the EU. According to the EU REACH Regulation, the official registration of the export of 100 to 1,000 tons of chemical substances to the EU must be completed before the export transition period of May 30, 2013. The dyestuff industry involves many products. With the deadline approaching, domestic dyeing companies, organic pigment companies, textile chemicals companies, and intermediate companies are all making active moves to start formal registration. The China Dyeing and Printing Association actively provided services and guidance to assist interested companies to successfully complete formal registration of related products during the transitional period.
