On February 10th, new grade caustic soda products with a concentration of 42% and 30% were successfully delivered. In the past, the caustic soda products produced by Qilu Petrochemical's chlor-alkali plant had only two concentrations of 48% and 46%. In the 2011 market survey, the plant technicians found that some customers purchased caustic soda products that had to be returned to the market, and they had to be mixed with water to reduce their concentrations before they could be used. As a result, some low-concentration caustic soda products were urgently needed on the market. They decided to increase the two products with concentrations of 42% and 30% on the basis of the existing two grades of products with concentrations of 48% and 46%.
At the beginning of this year, Qilu Petrochemical's chlor-alkali plant started to adjust the technological operation plan to ensure the smooth operation of the new brand of caustic soda. According to estimates, after the product structure adjustment, not only effectively meet the needs of some customers, enhance the terminal sales competitiveness, but also help extend the life of equipment, reduce equipment maintenance costs, the cumulative efficiency is expected to reach 44.35 million yuan.
