Welcome plaster expert group to guide our company

In early June, a team of four gypsum experts visited our company, Liaodong Dongda Powder Engineering Technology Co., Ltd., to conduct comprehensive guidance and technical discussions on the development of our natural gypsum, synthetic sulfur gypsum, and phosphogypsum calcination processes. The visit aimed to evaluate the potential for further innovation and optimization in the utilization of these materials. Considering that similar equipment has already been successfully implemented and operated by a manufacturer in Beijing, the expert group provided strong endorsement of the analysis data from the output products. Their approval served as a significant encouragement for our research and development efforts. They highlighted that our system not only operates efficiently but also offers lower operational costs and superior performance compared to other domestic alternatives. The comprehensive utilization of phosphogypsum waste, which is accumulated in power plants and phosphate fertilizer facilities, is expected to open up promising opportunities for sustainable development in the industry. With the right technology and strategies, this waste material can be transformed into valuable construction resources, contributing to both environmental protection and economic growth. Among the members of the gypsum expert group were: **Yue Wenhai**: A former deputy chairman of the Gypsum and Gypsum Products Professional Committee at the China Silicate Academy, and a professor at Wuhan University of Technology. He graduated from Nanjing University in 1954 and was a senior visiting scholar at Oklahoma State University from 1989 to 1990. Throughout his career, he held several key positions, including Director of the Materials Research and Testing Center at Wuhan University of Technology and head of the Inorganic Non-Metallic Materials Specialty Teaching Guidance Committee at the National Higher Education School. He was also awarded special government allowances by the State Council for his outstanding contributions to the field. Professor Yue has been a leading figure in the study of gypsum building materials since the 1950s. He was among the first in China to apply modern testing methods in the study of gypsum dehydration phases, systematically analyzing their types, structures, and characteristics. His work laid the foundation for classifying gypsum dehydration phases and revealed the mechanism behind the transformation of dihydrate gypsum into β-hemihydrate gypsum through nucleation-diffusion. He also pioneered the two-step method for preparing β-hemihydrate gypsum, significantly enhancing its strength. His research has made important contributions to understanding the aging mechanisms of calcined gypsum, the crystallization behavior of α-hemihydrate gypsum, and the activation of anhydrite. **Chen Yan**: Graduated from Fudan University's Department of Chemistry in August 1953. From September 1953 to December 1956, she studied at the Harbin Institute of Civil Engineering and Architecture, Chinese Academy of Sciences. She then worked with the State Construction Commission of the Chinese Academy of Architectural Sciences from January 1957 to December 1957. From January 1958 to December 1965, she was part of the Department of Building Materials at the Building Research Institute under the Ministry of Industry and Construction. Later, she worked in the Department of Local Materials and Wall Materials, and served in various capacities until August 1989. From January 1984 to December 1984, she was seconded to the State Council’s Aid Office to manage the planning and implementation of 43 major projects related to national aid materials for Tibet’s 20th anniversary of liberation. Throughout her career, she contributed to numerous national projects and held prominent roles, including member of the China Science and Education Committee of the China Building Materials Association, special invited member, and advisor to various housing and construction committees. She also served as Deputy Chief Engineer at China Construction Co., Ltd., and was involved in multiple expert committees related to waterproof materials and gypsum technology. Her extensive experience and insights have made her a respected voice in the industry.
