It is understood that the parents of the children who have come to Shuishui are migrant workers who have come to work in Taiyuan, Anhui province. The children have been on holiday to reunite with their parents for the New Year. At that time, 7 children played in the wetland park, 4 people walked on the ice and fell into the water, 2 of them were rescued by Zhang Hongqi and 2 died.

At the press conference, Zhang Hongqi donated nearly 10,000 yuan of condolences to the Taiyuan City Association for the Justice of the Valuables. The association announced that the money will be directly used to help the families who are willing to sacrifice their lives.

"In that dangerous situation, everyone will give a helping hand. This is what I should do." Zhang Hongqi said. At the same time, he also stated that migrant workers are an indispensable part of every city, and that education for migrant workers and their children should be strengthened.
